I went fishing today and already have a pretty good tan going, but i'm pretty fair skinned so i try to avoid the sun when i can. Today however, being out in the sun was unavoidable. I put on sunblock on the areas that didn't have a tan ( So here's the result. Thankfully it looks worse than it is, and doesn't burn. When was the last time you got a sunburn?

That's one way to describe a tan. Where the fishes biting to have made the sunburn worth it?

Last time I got sunburn when I was out walking and it was partly cloudy and sunny. The sun came thru enough to cause a burn.

@Debscrochet Sun lotion should be used almost everyday. But I am guilty I do not do that.

It has been quite a while since I had a sunburn. I do not get them a lot. I have known of people who got really bad burns on their feet, and that was the pits.

I can't remember my age, but I was very young. It was the first time we (my family and me) had gone to the beach and stayed there for the whole day. Most of the time when I went t to the beach it was only for a few hours. But this particular trip we were there from morning until the just before the sun went down. It was blistering hot that day. But I paid it no mind. I was having too much fun in the water! Didn't even notice until the next day that I had sunburn. It was about 50 years ago. I learned my lesson about staying out in the sun for a long period of time.

Yes same here. I got too involved in fishing, and didn't notice until it was too late.
