I spoke too soon

Last week I posted that we have not received a big snowfall this winter and that one thing about big snowfalls that I like was the silence that came along with it. I guess Mother Nature wants to make up for lost time. Starting Monday evening we are in for a big dumping of snow. They are calling for totals up to 40cm(over a foot) in just over 24 hours. Tuesday we won't go anywhere, so I will have to make sure that I have everything we will need. Food won't be an issue as we did our grocery shopping last night. I have flashlights with batteries and a few candles. If it gets terribly cold and the power goes out, we can all pile up in the living room infront of the fireplace. Hopefully everyone in the path of this storm is preparing and organizing. Stay safe everyone.

@Happy2BeMe we will use common sense. Tomorrow doesn't sound bad...but Tuesday could be an interesting drive.

Good luck. Maybe some contingency plans for a place to stay Tuesday night may be a wise idea. You seem to have some bad luck when traveling in the winter.

Not looking forward to it at all. Seems we always get a big storm before St. Patrick's day though.

I try to be. With 3 kids, I have more to worry about than just myself. They are on spring break this week so no school regardless.
