The pleasing contents of our ash pit.

I was pleased to see on my walk to the bus stand this morning a snake lying dead in our ash pit. It was a cobra, but its most pertinent feature was that it was dead which is the best way for any snake to present itself around any human habitation. I don't know how it got there and I don't care, I'm just glad that it didn't bite me on its way there. However it does raise the question of how many other cobras there might be in the vicinity. This is another reason why I would prefer to live in the city. The countryside is idyllic, quiet, and life is slow-paced all which suit me, but there are snakes.

Don't worry about that much. These are only circumstances. You will forget soon.
