Time to put on my 'big-girl' panties and suck it up

You've heard that expression I imagine...put on your big girl panties...I already wear big panties so I guess I'll skip to the suck up part. We have a dog. We have a dog that sheds. We have a dog that sheds a lot. My husband has been doing the majority of vacuuming up that dog hair. Why? Because the vacuum we had for two years only had one height adjustment and the area rugs we have are higher than that adjustment which made is extremely difficult to push the vac around. I saw the commercial for the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Vacuum. I decided it was time to treat my husband to a machine that would work better and make his life easier. I ordered it from Amazon on Monday and it arrived yesterday morning. We put it together, not difficult at all and he ran it over two kitchen rugs which had been vacuumed the day before. It was amazing how much dog hair was in the canister. They say it gets up dog hair that is deep in the carpet. I would say their advertisements are spot on. From there he started using it in the living room after we adjusted the height and it was so easy to push I took over and gave it a try. What a difference. Morale of the story, I now have the job of running the vacuum cleaner, but only if I want to he said! I would highly recommend this vac to anyone, whether you have pets or not! Photo is mine.

I don't usually believe claims until I try myself and this does what they say it will.

As you can see in the photo our whole house is hardwood flooring but we do have are rugs in a few rooms...but the hardwoods can be vacuumed too. A dust mo does not get dog hair real well.

@AbbyGreenhill May be it will come later. I had a beautiful day with my Mom, thank you for asking. She is well, we talked a lot and then I helped her a bit around the house, there are things that are hard to do for her now. I am glad to help.

@LadyDuck That is good that you are close enough to go help and spend time. When we lived in NJ I was two miles from my parents so I was there a lot....then we moved south and I was 850 miles away

Wow. Good to know. I have 4 dogs, 4 dogs that shed. 3 dogs that shed a lot. LOL but no carpeting. So we sweep a lot. it would be nice to vacuum but I have a feeling the dogs would get in my way or they will bark at the vacuum.

@rebelann Well, then you are lucky. I have not found that to be the case. I just did a search and only see two places selling it - Jet.com and Walmart and they are at the same price as Amazon.

@Tampa_girl7 Thanks. The previous owners had it done. It would not have been my choice unless it was really a log home...but it's different.

Ruby is only allowed on two chairs - no beds and we keep towels on the chairs - so that saves us a little hair. The shark is good, but that cup is just too small

Have you ever had a dyson? That's the most expensive hoover I've ever had and it worked well. At the moment I've just got an electric sweeper as the area of carpet I have is tiny but I do need a hoover as I'm sure the carpet is retaining dust...just don't want to buy one
