Our ducks and turkey chicks are nearly hatching!

We have 1/2 dozen turkey eggs and 1/2 duck eggs in our incubator at the moment - they are about three days away from hatching. Annoyingly, the incubator was playing up all night and the temperature controls were all befuddled. Every 15 mins throughout the night, the temp alarm would give off a series of beep BEEP BEEP and would not let up until we pressed the reset button. We have no idea why, or what caused this strange behavior- but as soon as I awoke this morning after a few minutes of sleep, it seemed to had sorted itself out!

That would have been a long night if the alarm kept going off. Hopefully the eggs haven't been harmed.

Every time I checked them - every 15 mins, the temp was within the safe zone for hatching, just not at the optimum temp. Most frustrating, but, they should all be ok! Fingers crossed!

@destry It will be exciting to see them breaking out of the eggs.

There will be a lot of noise when the birds cackle (or whatever it's called) all day long.

I hope nothing happened to the eggs and they will hatch at the due time. The ducklings are my favorite, they are such cute little birds.
