Aggravating

This has to be the most aggravating thing when being a writer. Especially a screenwriter. While writing this script, it was coming to the ending and I realised that the last line was on its own page. Why must this happen? It is such a waste of a page! So, I thought, "Well, this script is only 21 pages. I like my scripts to be at least 22-24" and I removed a scene before finishing because I was afraid of running out of room until this happened and happily added the scene back in! It was one of those scenes that did not matter if it was gone or not, but it had a line in that I really wanted and got to add it. So I added in that scene and then I go down to see if it took up another page at the end of the script and...it did it again. It is now 22 pages, but still, the last line is on its own page! Why must this happen to me? If there is any pet peeve I have in writing, it is this one. So now I am editing and I am adding things in, taking things out. Just trying to get at least a quarter of a page filled instead of just one little line. Ugh.

Hehehe. Would it be against some rule if you change the font size or spacing or something?

@DesirousDreamer xD How about... using a slightly longer paper size? Hahaha.

Yes haha scripts need to be in Coutier New and at a 12 point font. And spacing is a big no no. It isn't like novel writing.

@moirai Haha, nope! Screenwriting is very very structured. Some people will not even accept your script if you have a 3 hole punch in it.

I'm sure you'll get it sorted out. One of the things about being a writer is being able to be creative when it counts the most!

@DesirousDreamer I know, right? And sometimes it's VERY hard to be creative on demand!

Writers especially screen writers have these hiccups! I'm sure you'll get over it and the finished piece will be more beautiful than all that went before.
