Rewatching Golden Girls

When I was a kid, I used to watch The Golden Girls with my grandma and great grandma, which are very similar to Dorothy and Sophia on the show. Now that the whole series is on Hulu, I have been re-watching it from the beginning. I guess it was a different era, because I didn't realize how racist some of the episodes were. The show is still hilarious, but some of the racist shows were pretty cringeworthy. I guess it was worst in the 60s, but I still think it was sad I never noticed it as a kid...

I bet that now since you are an adult you appreciate the show more than you did when you were a kid and didn't understand what some of the episodes were about. A few years ago, I watched Dr, Quinn, Medicine Woman on youtube and Hank wasn't a very nice saloon keeper/pimp. It's funny how our opinions about subject matter on different TV shows change over the years.
