I am a proud 57 summers old clinical instructor, separated from the father of my son and with a 25 year old son, but I am still young at heart. Evidence? Look at what I wore when I and my sister went to church this morning. I think it is appropriate for church. There is a reminder posted at the big main door of the church about the dress code; i.e.,no shorts, sleeveless, no caps,no undershirt, and lots more. My tee shirt and pants is fine for me. Do you wear heeled shoes when you go to church?

I guess it would depend of the church you attend. I would not wear that t-shirt to church because for mr it would be inappropriate but to each their own. You look great.

I think there is no need to have dress code in attending a mass to a church.

yes i agree, but the faithful should still be aware that the church is for adoration, so we must still dress appropriately. some wear sandos, baseball caps even inside the church, chewing gums, very short skirts, and very very short shorts. isn't that disrespecting the church?

@ridingbet At some point, this behavior is not acceptable. For clothes, uhm I think it is fine as long as their intention is to have a mass.

@Shavkat true. anyway, our faith is not tested with the way we wear what covers our skin, but isn't it nicer to be presentable in church? the get up i wear is just okay for me too.

I don't go to church but if I did it would not be in that t-shirt for sure. That would not be appropriate where I come from.

there are some religious affiliations that has dress code. maybe your religion has one? a founder of one religion here tells his members to always wear white dress and wear their pearl earrings. if we see them on TV, all the females look the same because even their hair styles are all the same.

I do think that there are times when we can get away with just wearing a shirt and pants. Other times though, we need to dress up more formally. I do think the shirt is appropriate for Sunday mass.

@ridingbet I know that shirts with graphic images and vulgar words is discouraged. Same thing with short shorts, short skirts, and blouses with revealing cuts.

well, the tee shirt that i wear is not at all vulgar, even what is written in it. there are some shirts with printed words like curses and i don't think that is apt for church mass

what is wrong with pigtails? when my hair was shoulder-length, i would tie them in ponytail or pigtail, and i am not doing that to look younger, but it is because my nape gets hot so it should be exposed.

@allknowing no, any female, whether a kid girl, a teenager, a young female adult, or an old woman can still put on pigtails and still look stunning.

That's also my get-up when I go malling , to any outing and to church too. Although, I am in my wedge sandals. I don't wear flats because I don't know how to walk in them .

@ridingbet This is how I grew up and until some years ago in Italy women were not allowed to wear pants going to Church. I kept the habit to wear a dress.

@LadyDuck that is good. back when i was still in my elementary and primary grades, we went to church in dresses and veils on our head. now, it seems wearing a veil is obsolete

Of course not, it's the dress of this generation and it does not matter of age. 30 years ago, even young teens don't dress like that, isn't it?

i am shy, my friend. hahaha! ("hindi naman ako nagmumurang kamatis") i am not acting like a spring, young, and fresh tomato, right? i just dress like that. the tee shirt states that if you can read the message correctly, then i must have fallen down from the bar stool so you should pick me up and put me back in the stool, then the big CHEERS! i am drunk, s in.
