Holding hands with Robert Menzies ..

We drove to Canberra last October for the first time.. It was about 8 hours drive.. We got to attend the Flower Festival ( Floriade ) and got to see the Parliament house and the War Memorial ..
I also got to hold hands with Robert Menzies.. Oh he was a big man with strong hand 
. My hand got stuck in his .. It felt like he was suddenly alive and tightened his grip on my hand .. lol .. I panicked .. I was so intimidated by his size and height ..

Sir Robert was the longest serving Prime Minister of Australia.. 18 years in total according to Wikipedia ;) ..
Have you ever held hands with a statue and it won't let you go ..

His thumb and pinky finger were a bit curled in .. and silly me I squeezed my whole hand in between them, so when I was letting go, he tightened his grip .. lol ..

That was the first time I ever held hands wit ha statue because the poor thing just standing there on his own as if longing for a companion to hold hands with .. so I did .. heeheh!

I always get confused..which is the capital of Australia.. whether it's sydney or Canberra.. actually it's Canberra but I seldom hear the name..

Yes it's Canberra .. but it's a quite city compared to Sydney or Melbourne .. that's why it's seldom talked about ..
