Our pet dog died a few weeks ago. His name was Roby. He was a 13 year old Labrador. He was pretty old..and was kind of ill since December. We knew that his time has come, and he was kind of suffering in his last few days. He couldn't walk or stand on his own because of old age and therefore he had developed some kind of infection in one of his foot. We really loved him. And as much as it breaks our heart that he passed away, a part of us was content that he was relieved from his suffering. A lot many people told us that dogs don't really live upto 13 years and our was a really lucky one that he got so much love and care. When a pet dog dies, it is a very difficult time for all the family. Kids in the family were shattered. Everyone had a strong bond with him. He was a part of our family. We have another dog as well. Again a Labrador - 5 years old. His name is Bruno. I guess out of all of us, Bruno was the most affected by Roby's death. He didn't eat for days, he didn't play..he didn't do anything basically. We had to take him to a vet to get him checked. More than anything, I feel very sad for Bruno. He is recovering now in the company of neighbouring dogs..but we know how much he misses his dear friend Roby.
