Good morning.A blast of winter is back.Cold and very windy. When I attend at times to the DAV meeting. The topic was do you fly the American flag.Proudly display it.Well I am guilty of this.I do not and should. I have a stick flag. But rather have a flag pole to fly the flag. They got me thinking.Well maybe not a flag pole. But one attached to the house. We use a stick flag.Breaking News Something is going on in the Parliament in London.Man with a gun and a car smashed through. This is now happening. Check your TV on this.

I have a Swiss flag (not on a stick) I hang it on the balcony the 1st of August, National Swiss Day. One policeman was stubbed and 12 people were injured in the terrorist attach in London.

We do not really fly the flag either, just because they get tattered after so long and we really do not have money to keep buying new ones. Many people fly the flag, but many seem to be stuck on the symbolism than actually caring for the country in my opinion from what I have seen.

I just saw the breaking news about that. I usually put the flag out a few days before and after a holiday.

I was thinking of getting a flag to fly. Many of my neighbors have them attached to their house and it's nice to see our flag flying when the wind blows.

It's not really the thing over here to fly flags, unless there's a cause for national celebration, like a royal wedding. :)

We always fly our flag. (Canadian) and we also collect a flag when we travel. Right now we have the Canadian flag and the Hawaiian Flay. The Union Jack is my husband's favourite flag.
