A Trombone Player with Knobbly Knees

I did a post recently about a park bench made from old bicycle parts. In Scott Ganschow's (@teamfreak16) comment I posted a photo of another recycled item but this time made from driftwood. I would never have the imagination and creativity to create these works of art. Here is another cute little piece of uselessness – a little trombone player made of nuts and bolts. I didn't have a lot of boyfriends when I was growing up but three of them were all trombone players. No rude remarks please! This one has knobbly knees – just like Vince!

@JudyEv I love the guy on the hammock too. My husband had a miniature car made with nuts and bolts, I imagine it is hidden in a box, it's a long time I do not see it around.

@LadyDuck Things seem to disappear sometimes without much effort.

It would be nice to make something from nothing. I can make string mats from hay bands/binder twine but that doesn't seem very creative, just recycling.

@JudyEv Almost I use to paint on is recycled, I would not have the patience to to make twine mats but I like the idea...

@PainsOnSlate I like making use of materials that would otherwise be thrown out. In some circumstances it is only mindless stuff that you can do. Here's a photo of the mats I make from time to time.

You have an eye to pick the most unique art and I am sure one day you will create one yourself

I am more creative in practical ways. When we want to shift something or make something, then we mostly manage to do it.

This post just appeared beside mine and it caught my eye because my partner used to have a golfer just like this! It was here for years and only last year it got sent to a charity shop because it was just gathering dust and he doesn't even play golf any more - not at the moment anyway.

Excellent artwork. I guess it would be labeled folk art.
