Before great fun is a lot of hard work!

I'm tired of saying how tired I am, so I won't go there (even though I am). Today was, by far, the busiest day I've had in a while. I really didn't need to add on to it, so I'm not sure why I did. But now that everything is over but the fun, I guess I'm glad. Less to do tomorrow. Got up at 9:30am since I knew that library books were being delivered. Also, the pharmacy was delivering. And I'm never quite sure what time either one will arrive. Can be anywhere from 9am until noon or a little after. So I need to be out of bed, dressed and relatively awake! And I was. The books came first. I have tons of books since there won't be another delivery until after Easter. And one bag has 5 books that are HUGE! Those always intimidate me until I see if they are interesting or not. The woman who delivers my books is 80 years young and sure a firecracker! I just love her. We sat and talked for quite a while until she had to go to her next delivery. Then the pharmacy guy came. 2 secs with him. At least I got more pills to help me sleep. Or so they say. Then I made the decision to go downstairs and do laundry. I made some coffee and grabbed my travel mug, my latest book, my cell phone and the clothes, of course. While I was down there, I got yesterday's mail. I've almost finished this book (I started it yesterday - it's the second of a series). So I'll begin a new book tomorrow. While the clothes were drying, I was both falling asleep and heating up horribly, so I took a walk through the lobby and came up here for a while. I have the window open, so I cooled off well before I headed back down. And then I only had 20 minutes left. Talked to a friend on my cell and then laundry was done! yay! Tonight I'm off to see my nephew in a murder mystery play. They have been having so much fun with this show. It ends tomorrow so I'm glad I'm able to get there tonight. I wanted to go with a friend of his and she can't go on Saturdays, so we made the plans to go together tonight. We're both pretty excited for this. And my nephew is over the moon! He loves showing off for me! lol So, this is how I'm ending my week. Hope you're all ready for (or enjoying) the weekend! Hope someone out there has some good plans! Claudia

I sure did! And since the play was interactive, I had to keep on my toes during the play, which was great.

That sounds like SO much fun! I wish I could do something like that. I don't know that I could get anyone to go with me though.

That's usually my problem. I'm lucky that so many people love my nephew so I can sometimes tag along with them. This time I contacted a mutual friend of ours and asked if she wanted to come along with me. I'm so glad she did. If you lived closer, I would have brought you with us!

I really did. They do an amazing job. And since many of the "actors" are disabled in some way or another, it makes me even happier to see everyone come out of themselves to make us laugh.

me, too! When I lived closer to New York City, I loved going there to see live theater. It didn't have to be Broadway. Even the little plays were wonderful. And now that we have a few local theater groups, I'm doing my best to see what I can when I have the money.

@CRK109 I keep an eye on what is playing, but for quite a while there has been nothing I really fancied treking into town for

Oh, let's see. I'm in the middle of a few right now. One is a series by Jacqueline Winspear about a private investigator named Maisie Dobbs. I just finished the second book. I really enjoy those. They take place in the late 1920s - early 1930s, and you really get a feel for that time period. I'm also reading a huge series called the Mortal Instruments series. This is set in the future and incorporates witches and vampires and werewolves all together. A couple of movies have been made from these books. Cassandra Clare is the author. I'm reading the third book of that series right now. It's a lot of fun. It all begins with a girl who has absolutely no idea that she's anywhere a part of a world of those creatures. And then she gets a surprise! lol

Great fun was had by all. Best part is that it was audience participation, so we all got to try and figure out "whodunnit"!
