Diary Thursday 23rd March 2017 Not much going on today – just a fairly average job club visit, where I looked up over 40 jobs, none of which I expect to get anywhere with. The weather was cold but dry. Diary Friday 24th March 2017 A much nicer day, weather-wise and activity wise, with a talk and workshop at the community centre on using art books, a kind of modern reworking of old fashioned scrap-books for adults. We were shown some very impressive examples of art books created by students of the tutor, Steph, and there was a very nice buffet afterwards for participants. Diary Saturday 25th March 2017 I spent the day doing voluntary work at the university which held an open day for future students to see what the campuses have to offer. I was handing out leaflets about service users (patients) using the medical, social service and mental health care services as we are available to talk to students about our experiences in such areas, a unique service presented by the University of Central Lancashire. My travel and lunch expenses were covered for the day. It was terrific, and the weather was more Summer than Spring. Arthur Chappell

Yesterday I visited with my parents and today I am indoors trying to avoid the rain.

Glad to hear that things are better these last two days. The weather is nice too. Cool. It's blue skies and sun here.

anything for free food, and a fun day! Seems like a good way to stretch a budget too

Glad you found something to take your mind off the call centre folly. Good luck (you know what I mean) for tomorrow.
