Happy Together

This quote reminded me of the song “Happy Together” by The Turtles. Let me know what you think. Are we happier when we are accepted? Right here on myLot where we interact with one another I know that there is happiness on the site because we accept one another no questions asked and no matter from which part of the world we come from.
An important part of happiness is also our acceptance by family and friends. If we don’t feel like outsiders we’re OK. I don’t know about you but my happiness is not based on the acceptance of me by my neighbors. Our neighbors are good people but we just aren’t close friends. So they live their lives and we live ours.
What are your thoughts on this?

I remember for awhile back in the 60s and 70s they played this so often on oldies stations I would find myself walking along and the song would pop into my head @marsha32

That is true and especially if you belong to a certain group of friends or with family you tend not to feel lonely because you always have someone to turn to @JudyEv

I don't mind feeling the black sheep. I am a bit odd but I am very nice so if people do not like me it is their loss. Here at mylot I rarely run into anyone I dislike. I used to love that song by the way!

Yes it is a really happy song. Glad to know you here on myLot @shaggin we can all just be ourselves and if we can all get along that is a great big plus.

I once read that the 3 things necessary for happines, are goals, friends and laughter. I think social media has isolated us.

Well that depends @FloridaGal I have no friends except for hubby here in Latvia so for me happiness is being online and having my online friends and people I can interact with even though I cannot see or hear them. Of course if I had a group of friends here then I would choose to divide my time between online and offline so I wouldn't isolate my friends.
