The POWER of WORDS..

.
Negative or positive, never underestimate the power of words...
When I was young and struggling to cope with responsibilities that were thrust upon my shoulders, Powerful positive WORDS were the only strength that carried me through .. Words I said to myself .. I talked myself into my chosen words .. I deserve better if not the best.. because lacking dehumanize absolutely..
*I WOULD RATHER HAVE THINGS THAT I DON'T NEED THAN NEED THINGS THAT I DON'T HAVE* .. This was my childhood secret motto .. It was a secret because I didn't want to be laughed at .. For some reasons, fellow children in those days, and even some of the adults ridicule you if you express high goals and dreams if you happened to come from a desperately poor existence.. At that time, it seemed very impossible to get the things I needed, how much more having things that I wanted but didn't need??...So I secretly talked myself into my secret motto and hoped for the best ..
You'll meet people ( as i did ) who might take offence with the positiveness in you, and will do all they can to bring you down by guiding you in the wrong direction away from your goals and dreams. But in the end, they won't win over the power of the positive words you talked yourself into.. ;) .....
But, Positive words must come with good intention and truthfulness .. integrity, self-respect and dignity if you want them to work for you . I struggled for years even in this so called lucky country . I was ridiculed, discriminated and my ideas were sabotaged. But, when I was finally free of all the negative energies that stunted my growth as a meaningful, creative human being, my secret motto came back to me after many years when I found this key ring in a gift shop ;) ... I bought it as a gift to myself to celebrate my total freedom from all the negatives and the negative people including the religious fanatic nutcases who tried to rule my life for a decade ...It took another 15 years or so of hard work before I finally realized that life is finally good.. actually it is even better than better... Very, very grateful indeed .. There is not a moment that I don't feel grateful to 'the NOW'..
So, no matter what situation you are in, choose the words you attach to yourself and to your goals . NEVER let greed play a part in your life... and always look at others as your equal... Remember that you have no right to thrust upon them your negative words and energy even if you feel that they are indebted to you for whatever reasons . You have no right to own others.. not even your own children ... You are responsible for the energy you bring out into this world, I and the others are responsible for ours ... We, all of us always reap what we sow...*epiffanie*
Bess ..
I just want to share this beautiful delicate flower ;)
This beautiful cactus flower opens at sunrise and dies at sunset .. it's shame that it doesn't last a few days..

@JustBhem There is a generation of negative people. Some think that it's cool to be negative, complain and whine. To the audience, it gets very tiring and boring if they are being repetitive. A strong person will not be easily influenced and swayed.

When I was young, I'd rather be smacked than lectured by my parents as their words reverberated up to this time.

@epiffanie you're quite right. I was a rebel and went against some of their beliefs, but now, after years of living, i now see the wisdom of their words. If I listened, my life would have been simpler. ;)

Words are very powerful and they can cut like a knife or raise like a soft wind, we need less cutting and more lifting.

I am so glad you taught yourself positive words. While growing up I had people in my life that told me I was not a good person and no good and treated me like I was nothing.

A beautiful post. Thank you for sharing it and your words of positivity and wisdom. I just finished reading a book about power of words "Change your words, Change your life" by Joyce Meyer.
