Why should I loose hours?

This girl again at the gas station texts me to see if I'd take her shift today 2 to 11. Where she takes my shift Thursday which means I loose an hour. I said well I work my other job thursday and make it worth my drive and work the gas station. Like I'll take her shift and get more money as she is sick apparently. I shouldn't have to loose an hour and her gain one because she doesn't want to work today.

Only if you just want to be nice should you do it. Or if there is some other benefit for you.

I have taken loads of her shifts in the past. But she doesn't want to work until she needs money. $12 I loose doesn't sound like a lot but it is for my budget. She doesn't understand this as her parents pay for her. But the fact I told her I work my other job in the morning thursday and its not worth my drive for 45 minutes to work for 3 hours and not my other job aswell.

Stick to the hours you prefer. It doesn't make much sense for you to lose an hour because she doesn't want to work today.

@ricki_911 For some, it does make a huge difference. I know how you feel. It does make a difference for me as well. I'd much have the extra hour and extra 12 dollars.

I rarely need a shift covered the amount I have switched for her before. I said $12 I loose may not seem like a lot but it is for me.

Some people are just a pain and don't think about others when they ask for things like that an hour is no big deal but they add up and then before you know it you lost one hour and it turns into more

This is the girl before who exchange half my shift and shows up 3 hours early.I told her 3 hours working is not worth me driving and she can't come in early. She's just dumb and only cares about herself. She texted mewhat 3 hours before the shift and goes tomake the hours even. I felt like saying why so the boss doesn't see not wanting to work. Because I'dbe in overtime and theyd ask why.
