I have a high school friend who at present is doing regular soaps in a reknowed indian television channel. She was talking with me last night and she said that it is really hard for the outsiders to be in this industry. This industry is only for those who have their ancestors. What do you guys think? Whats your opinion? Picture: My Friend (About whom i was talking)

No sometimes their talent too give them a break. Akshay kumar, Anupam kher, Madhuri Dixit all were great in their time and has no ancestors in the film industry but had lots of talent so got the break. Tell your friend to work harder and show her talent .

@sjvg1976 I understand that its not in case of all, but still having ancestors in the industries helps them a lot, and often they pull their children and grand children into this profession.

That's what i always tell her. And if I am not mistaken Akshay kumar's mother was a film producer, might not be that famous. And at the time of Anupam Kher I don't think the competition was that bad.

Is that a picture if your friend? Well she is a good looking lady. I hope she gets to find job in the film industry soon. I believe it is very difficult for someone with no ancestors to find a job in the film industry. They just have to work so hard and if they are lucky enough someone might just spot them

She is already in some daily soaps but she wants to get some much better opportunity which she is not getting, and on the other hand, some others with less looks and less capabilities than her joining after her is gaining heights just because they have some ancestors in the industry. She is still struggling and fighting but if she continues to face such things soon she might be broken.

Nepotism is always a big issue in Bollywood. But now it's getting less as more people are getting chances to work in film industry on basis of their talent.

So that business is only for those relatives of the celebrities. That's unfair towards the middle class and even the poor people.

Yes that's true.. I heard the same... They get overexploited there. They have to live a very stressful life as the work schedule is too tight.
