Time to Say Goodbye

Well today my mom goes back home. She isn't leaving right away because her bus leaves at about 4:30pm. So we still get to spend one more day together. We are currently sitting here in the living room watching tv and watching my son play. It just turned 11am not too long ago. It takes us about 2 hours to get to the bus stop so we will be leaving at 2pm. I am still so tired, so I may get a nap in before we have to go. I think we may have to have dinner out because it will be rush hour by the time she leaves and there is no way we will make it home in time for dinner. We will probably be headed to the mall after she leaves. It was so fun to have her here before she has her surgeries. Hopefully she will recover quickly and feel a lot better afterwards. Why are goodbyes so hard? I hope she doesn't cry and I don't cry.

Well enjoy your last day with your mom - it's not always good bye it's see you later. Hopefully she can recover quick and come back to visit again.

Goodbyes are so difficult sometimes. When does your mother have her surgery?

While your Mom returning home is sad, revel in the joy and amazement that you still have her here with you in the physical world. Make the most of the rest of your time with her. Goodbyes are hard because often we focus on the absence, not realizing the joy in the memories made.
