Oh man, in the month of April, the birthdays just rain down on me like a heavy storm in the country. First off, theres mine on the second, then just a few days later its my sisters. Then in the middle of the month its my fathers. A niece to my gf has a little girl whos birthday is on the third. But get this, this niece of hers also has her birthday on the same day as me! The second of April! We will be celebrating our three birthdays together on saturday so this way my gf's family wont have to concern themselves with three in a row. Then, there's another niece who has a boy whose birthday is in the last week of the month, he's one of the boy's I take to the wrestling shows, so naturally his gift will be the knokx pro wrestling show at the end of the month. I also have an aunt who's birthday is on the first, but she lives in another state, no worries there when it comes to gift or celebration, ha ha ha! Any of you lovely people looking forward to any events in April ? I guess I have now opened up a little more by revealing when my birthday is, now don't get used to this happening so soon again :D Picture- Taken/Owned by me, Plethos

@Plethos There is that downside to it, yes. And wasps, but towards the end of summer.

@pgntwo - oh yeah the tarantula wasp and horseflies are more abundant in the north end of the county.

Happy birthday, Plethos! (I never thought about someone well past 100 actually celebrating their birthday.... It is good to know you are still able bodied enough to get in there with the kids and enjoy two or three minutes of the day, my friend!) I would normally say many happy returns of the day, but I don't want to depress you on your birthday.... I am kinda wondering, if you sat and thought really hard for a couple of hours, could you remember all the way back to your childhood and tell us about some of the gifts you received? (Don't strain yourself.. we'd rather keep you around than hear about the two or three pennies you used to get when you were young!

@Plethos I can just imagine you doing that, too! So... how is your birthday going? Did the present arrive in good shape? (grinning and teasing you!)

Well I hope you enjoy your birthday and good that you are combining some of them. The main event we are looking forward to in April is Easter. I do have my memories of my grandma and my dad both of which had birthdays in April so we will just light a candle for them.

@Plethos Not just seems to have gotten later, Plethos. It has actually gotten later in the year. "Specifically, Easter is celebrated on the first Sunday after the paschal full Moon on or just after the vernal equinox. For simplicity, the equinox is considered March 21 (a fixed spring date set by the church) though it's not always that day." Courtesy of The Almanac.com. "Easter can fall as early as March sometimes or even as late as May (according to the Gregorian calendar) with the eastern church. The reason the date changes so much is because Easter must fall on ‘the first Sunday after the vernal equinox – i.e the first full moon after March 21 ‘. The reason Easter varies between the churches is because the two churches follow different calendars. The western one is Gregorian (lunar) and the eastern is based on the Julian calendar (solar). There is a 13-day difference between the two as the solar year (how long it takes to rotate around the Sun) and lunar year are different. Naturally this also means the dates for Easter differ." @Plethos When my brothers and I were younger we used to joke that mum and dad only did the deed four times ... contemplating them going at it like rabbits is not something us children should have to think about!

I certainly will remember, as my husband's birthday is coming also. His Mother's birthday was the day after. My brother and his wife have birthdays in April. April is a busy month.
