In my internet meandering across the streets of Instagram(She also has a gofundme to help with the medical costs and such.), I came across the account of a young lady who had cancer in the foot. Her foot eventually got amputated. Her way of dealing with it is through her humor shown in her photographs. Which consists of a skeletal foot attached to the tibia. I found it very positive and a bit inspiring to see her pictures and how shes dealing with her loss. As I kept randomly looking at her images of "foot selfies", I noticed, to me at the time, some sort of (at the time to me at least) cryptic wording in her postings such as, "26 years ago she gave birth to this foot... and the rest of me", "last living photo", "Hung out with an old friend today", made me start to question the "origin" of the bony foot. Then I came across a post that settled my curiousity and stated that it is indeed her amputated foot! The skeletal foot in her photos is her actual foot ! Oh damn ! I was immediately blown away and gained a whole new level of respect and admiration for the young lady. It is a bit morbid when you realize it was once living tissue attached to the person who holds it for the photos. She actually had her foot and the attached tibia returned to her. I was not aware that a person could ask for their bony limbs to be returned. I'm sure we can all agree that "onefootwonder" is a very unique account. If I find this person inspiring, i'm hoping some of you do also and to share with others who may need this force of positivity in their life right now. I have included links to her instagram and gofundme accounts. Just do the good ol' highlight, copy, and paste into your browser. https://www.instagram.com/onefootwander/ www.gofundme.com/2tsr2mpu Photograph- Screenshot by me, Plethos

so you can actually ask for your bones back? i thought you couldnt because of some sort of biohazard, medical waste, environmental laws and stuff.

I love her outlook. Such a positive spin. I would imagine than you can ask for your bits back ... they are rightfully yours! I expect they have to treat them first though. And how can you be sure you get your bones back and not someone else's!
