Risen from the dead

I had talked about a rose plant that looked completely dead but since I learnt that roses pretend to be dead, I left that stump there and yes it was pretending as I saw a green shoot one fine day which starting growing. I then saw a bud and now it has bloomed into a perfect rose What more can a gardener want in their life. Any happy surprises in your garden?

On Mylot you can learn something new every day. I didn't know roses did that.

It is a nice red rose there. You are a certified green thumb, my friend.

Roses are wonderful. I used to break off the stem and poke them in the ground. I grew a lot of roses that way.
