The song “I Love Rock and Roll” became a number one hit on the Billboard Pop chart on March 20, 1982. It was sung by a singer with dark, good looks named Joan Jett. What was interesting about this particular song was that it was a three-cord anthem. Originally this song was written and recorded in 1975 by the Arrows, a British pop group. Jett heard the song in 1977 while she was on tour in the U.K. At that time she was part of a group known as The Runaways. Once she went solo Jett didn’t really gain popularity until she recorded “I Love Rock and Roll”. Are there any Joan Jett fans out there? How many of you like this song? http://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/joan-jett-tops-the-pop-charts-with-i-love-rock-n-roll

@andriaperry I am a fan of all kinds of music but rock and roll especially the oldies are what really inspires me and makes me feel really good.
