You've written wasp twice and bee once. It's either/or. These are different insects. Both can be dangerous if someone is allergic. I'd put ice cubes on the sting. If the area around the sting swells and becomes red, it's advisable to see a doctor.

I don't think he had an allergic reaction but if he did they would bring him to the doctor.

Oouch! I've never been stung *knock on wood*. But my brother has and he had an allergic reaction which made it even worse. Hope your nephew is okay now

Try apple cider vinegar for bug stings. I hadn't gotten stung by anything since childhood until just a couple of years ago. I got stung by a yellow jacket that landed on me while I was asleep. Had no clue he was in my apartment, until I turned over, then......ouch! Not knowing at first what was going on, being in my state of half-awake, still half-asleep, I brushed my arm where I had been stung, and then he got me again on my thumb! When I realized what had happened, I immediately put some apple cider vinegar on a cotton ball, as I had remembered reading on the Internet that apple cider vinegar and honey are good for bee stings. Anyhow, I put the apple cider vinegar on the cotton ball, and taped it to the sting for several minutes. The stinging went away almost immediately! After several minutes, I put a drop of honey on a band-aid and put it over the sting. Not only did the stinging go away right away, never to return, but it never itched later on, either!
