I went to work too early...oops!

Thought I opened today, so did my boss, but another coworker showed up. We all laughed, checked, and yep, coworker was right, I work the afternoon shift. Oops. Ah well, up and got grocery shopping done early. I work 130-530, so only 4 hours, and often busier hours, fine with that, shift should go faster then. I also got signed up to sub Monday. Shift as a para at the school I was at yesterday, which is why I took it. Nice place. Nice staff, and pretty good kids. So now I get caught up on here, read, and play some games apparently.Maybe put up some laundry if I get motivated

I got up early today and already got a long progress note done--woo hoo! Brewing up my second cup of coffee now. What age kids are you working with?

@Jessicalynnt I enjoy the younger ones. They're rebellious, but in a cute way.

I need to go hang the laundry, but it's too cold right now. Glad you got a little extra time this morning to get stuff done. Have a good day.

@Jessicalynnt I think that's the way it is with everyone. Some days I do next to nothing and that is a lot, and the next, I'm a house a fire with more energy than I thought possible and get way lots more accomplished.

I used to like the four hour shifts as they went pretty fast.

I would LOVE to be able to survive on 3 four hour shifts a week, like M-W or something

@Jessicalynnt Yes I liked the small shifts but hard money wise.

@Susan2015 exactly. Someday, I won't have to work FT, and I will do something at short shifts for extra spending money

It really does, at least at work, at home time needs to slow down

I guess these things happen. At least you were able to get some things done. Hopefully, your shift goes by quickly.

Busy times do go quicker. Pity about arriving early but sounds like it turned out okay.

I do hope your shift goes quickly. Nice that you have some time to do what you enjoy before your shift starts.

I think it did, I work there the next 4 days, and at least 2 of those shifts are longer than average, NOT looking forward to that.

Do you cashier at the store and if so I wondered how that is with your anxiety? I cashiered for a month when I was 19 and it was not my cup of tea. It made me a nervous wreck
