A Cold Day in April / myLot

Today has been so cold and windy. We went out this morning and I wore a coat but the wind chill was terrible. The wind almost blew me over. We do sometimes have snow in April but today was a corker. I suppose it's because we had such a mild winter. But everyone was hugging themselves trying to keep warm. I did something I should be ashamed to admit, but I will tell you. I've had my protime appointment written on my calendar since I was there last. Time 10:30 this morning. So we left in plenty of time and arrived right on time. But when I checked in the nurse informed me that I was half an hour late and they couldn't see me. I was so sure I was there at the correct time that I got out my appointment slip to show her, but it actually did say 10:00. I was so embarrassed. When we got home I looked at the calendar and there it was, my appointment was at 10:00. Have you ever done anything so stupid?

Yes I have and I felt just as positive I was right and just as stupid when I found out I was wrong, annoying for sure.

I'm surprised that they wouldn't see you since being late was an honest mistake. Sure I've done silly things like that myself

Yes, we all mess up once in awhile. I would have liked them to fit me in between patients while I was down there but now I must go back Tuesday. I'll likely have to pay for today..

I also experienced this when being pre-occupied. It is embarrassing but I took it as a lesson. I need to accomplish everything listed in my action plan for the week.

I'm sorry they wouldn't see you. I don't think I've ever been turned away when I've been late, which is so seldom, I don't know when it happened last.

There were people waiting and they couldn't fit me in. Although it doesn't take but a couple of minutes to stick my finger and look at the results. If you're late they charge for the visit anyway. That could have been the reason.
