MYLOT MEMBERS UPPING THEIR GAME?

I was pleasantly surprised last evening when I checked the section for "Discussions with no response" and saw the notice "no results". It is a habit of mine to check that section at least twice whenever I am on the site - and this would be the first time there wasn't even one post languishing in that section. This could mean a number of things : (1) Members are posting more interesting discussions. (2) Posts last evening were probably less than usual. (3) Most of the posts on that particular evening were very interesting - -(and they were) (4) More members are visiting that section and leaving comments in order to keep the motivation going. So, what do you think? And do you ever visit the no responses section?

I imagine how demotivated one would feel when one's post gets no response whatsoever.

That depends on the topic and how the person is interested in that post.

The post may not be that interesting, but I would still try to find something to say.

A lot of times I do and I try to get them into responses. Sometimes it works other times not so good.

@Kandae11 Yes because I think that I am understanding what they are talking about and then they go off to something else to comment on. So I lose them a bit or they lose me. So I go back again and see what they do.

I think that the Mylot traffic has picked up a bit

That is saying something - if traffic has picked up and there are less no response discussions.

I have visited so many times because at starting most of my post were there in that section. So I always try to encourage others to post more.

That's great. I think the reason could be lesser posts. Because here we have some members who keep posting n just posting. I think they have either left or are busy on other sites lol

That's my habit too. I like to be the 1st commenter of that section. One thing I notice, the topics in some sections are there for days and hours so Mylotters are checking for a new one.

Once or twice and I noticed two things. 1. Some post was really not worth searching out. 2. People do not visit your post to leave a comment. I return or leave as much as three comments...and then I leave the person alone. Because of my limited time I openly look for people who contribute a lot with acceptable comments, and people who are fairly adult and reasonable. I seriously hate one word answer or just a 'grunt'...or no visit.

You are right about No. 1- some posts are really not worth the effort, but hopefully those who write them will learn. And I agree - our time is limited.
