I find many perks to getting older and this is one of them, but there are dates that everyone can go free. This is a great way to spend time outdoors going to a national park. The following dates are free to all: Apr 15-16 April 22-23 Aug 25 Sept 30 Nov 11-12 Seniors are free all of the time. One great perk to getting older.

@Fishmomma The parks are so beautiful to visit. We only have two close enough for me to visit. I wish that the included the provincial parks too because we have many of them.

I heard about that last year when my father got his free senior pass. I'm kind of surprised they have an offer like that, because seniors are probably the most frequent visitors to the park, since they have so much free time for travelling and stuff after retirement. That's definitely a great perk!

I have a national park pass for California that I pay for :) I think during those dates will be quite busy.

We have a few perks in our country too. It's good isn't it? Always nice to get something for nothing.

I'm happy that several of my friends have been traveling to the different parks. Saving money while traveling helps to go more places.

Thank you for sharing the story of the parks. In the Lake Charles area the closest park is the Sam Houston State Park in Moss Bluff Louisiana just north of Lake Charles.
