I don't think so. North Korea is all talk but they don't actually have balls.

@dhoyalahoy Yeah, i talk on a daily basis to the south korean people and i usually ask them that question. They don't even fear such at all. North Korea uses threat to extort support from South Korea and other countries but they are not actually capable of starting a war because they don't have enough resources.

Those who are from USA don't really understand North Korea.
The North Korea military parade today is a great surprise, because they show the world that they have the nuclear weapon to annihilate New York, and whatever city they choose.
Fortunately they are not testing the new weapon, else war will definitely break out.
China is in a difficulty situation.
It has a treaty with North Korea from way back that it will support North Korea if North Korea gets attack.
This treaty is valid till 2021.
The best that China will do if ever war breaks out between North Korea and US is to do nothing, other than taking care of refugees.

@dhoyalahoy I think you do not realize the close relationship between Russia and North Korea.
North Korea celebrates the birthday of its founder today.
This particular founder was appointed by Stalin, the ruler of Soviet Union.
North Korea got the permission from Stalin to invade South Korea.
Then US helped South Korea, and almost defeated North Korea until China stepped in to help North Korea.
Up to today, North Korea, Russia and China are still communist countries.
With the relationship worsening between US and Russia, it is questionable if Russia will help US.

Honestly I think they are only bluffing, they may have nuclear technology but I do not think they have the ballistic missile to launch a nuclear warhead, even if they had, it's not that accurate it might fall on their heads. America has the tech to block all those missiles, it's the China / Russia factor I am more worried about cause they also have the real thing.

@dhoyalahoy never assume anything if we are to learn from the lessons of the last two World wars, remember that Nazi Germany had a non agression pact with Russia.

Ww3 is far from happening. I think regardless of how well prepared China is for a war, N Korea is not going to simply start a war. The reason is simple, as a hermit kingdom North Korea is deprived from the goodness of globalization. They may flaunt their stronghold and all but they really don't have the firepower to really do it -they also don't have the finances to start a war, don't even have enough food to feed their citizens. Their president is arrogant and will do anything to protect his power. He is more afraid of the war than most countries because he knows that when ww3 happens, he will be kicked out of his position.
