The Filipinos or the nationals of the Philippines, are predominantly of Catholic religion. Thus, Maundy Thursday until Black Saturday are holidays.
Thus, last week we were on holidays from Maundy Thursday until Easter Sunday.
Because of the holidays, I really had a nice time to pray and meditate and relax.
Though I didn’t join the procession last Good Friday, I was able to watch it instead, from the side of the road when it passed by the gate of our house at our hometown, where I was from Good Friday to Black Saturday.
Easter Sunday back at home, we went to mass mid-morning, after which went to hubby’s cousin’s thanksgiving / belated wedding anniversary lunch celebration.
These activities also kept me away from here. It’s also my way of sacrifice for the Lenten Season that was. I barely was here even if I have 4 free days.
I know not everyone is of same belief as ours, but I hope everyone got their much neded rest during the weekend.
So, how were your holidays or weekends, spent?
Note: This was the picture of the church altar, yesterday , Easter Sunday.

Yes, there were actually lots of religious activities, I just didn't go to church but just watched the procession.
Indeed , the adorned saints and their carriages were a sight to behold. The new ones are noticeable because they were so much bigger than the old statues of saints thus the carriages bigger too.
