This is so sad to hear about. The Great Berrier Reaf is off the coast of Australia. If you don't know about it there is a link at the bottom of this post. For the second year in a row the area is bleaching. Two thirds of the reaf has turned white. Coral is bleached bone white or lifeless brown. It is suffering from heat stroke. There are 1400 species of fish, 400 types of coral, 30 species of dolphins, whale and porposes, six species of sea turtles come there to breed and it goes on and on. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Barrier_Reef

I have spent time there during my holiday in Australia. We were taken down a submarine to watch the fish closely

I'd like to visit Australia but I don't like to fly and the trip by ship is prohibitively expensive and too long

Yes, I wish the presidents would see this and do something. They don't even seem to believe there is global warming.

@celticeagle obama believed...I don't think trump does. Thing is...even if they don't believe in global warming they should realise fossil fuel is a finite resource and be looking into other things.

That's awful if the bleaching does something for the food supply.

The sea is so beautiful with all its coral and creatures. It is sad when we hear these things.

I hope they can find ways to grow more coral elsewhere or something

That might be good. Grow it elsewhere and ship it in. Wonder if that would work. They said the coral is complex and takes several things working together to form it.

This is too bad. The aquatic life is really in trouble. All happening due to global warming.
