Sequin dilemma

Maybe a long shot, but does anyone happen to know of any tricks to smooth down sequins? My dress for my sisters upcoming wedding is a full sequined number and the sequins dig into my arms pretty badly. Don't suppose anyone might have any tricks to smoothing them down? If not I guess I'll just have to be like the little brother from a Christmas story and not put my arms down lol.

@LittleBard Could you wear a shrug to at least protect your underarms and upper arms getting rubbed by the sequins?

@boiboing, it's got cap sleeves, so there's at least that. It's the fleshy (read flabby lol) arm area
