My friend posted this on Facebook and I was juat going through the comments. Some say they look amazing and then other say those who cake on makeup are insecure cover up up what they feel is imperfections. My ex use to say your the only girl I know who doesn't cake on makeup and not insecure. I can't say I hang out with anyone who wears a lot of makeup more natural look so I never thought of it. A girl posted her picture and the makeup vs her with nothing. She looks way way better with no makeup or a little. Not drawer her eyebrows up her forehead and changing her skin colour from white to black. I really don't care if someone is insecure makeup or not wont help them. So I read th3 comments and now want to debate it here.

Most of the time I go around barefaced except for sunscreen but sometimes I'll wear a tinted moisturiser and mascara and lipstick, if I'm going somewhere special, just to look like I matter.

Iam the same way. But this girl picture was way overboard. IM rather just lazy and dont care unless it's something fancy.

I believe makeup does help some women to feel more secure and confident. It depends on the woman's personality - some women prefer to look their very best possible in public - and they believe makeup can help.

I think for some it does boost them. But do they not realize the amount they put on?. I'd love to post her picture but she hasn't gave me permission. You can tell she is very insecure and low self esteem.

@ricki_911 I don't agree with too much -- it can be damaging to the skin.

Some people may feel that makeup will help. That's their choice. I don't usually wear makeup. I might sometimes, if I feel like it or I'm going out for a nice evening or something like that, but that's about it. For the most part, I just don't feel like I need it.

I do not wear make up. If I do, I get it professional done because I don't know how to wear make up. The last time I got make up was my profile picture for my engagement party. Honestly, I cannot see myself spending the time to put make up on every morning :)

Not all girls wear makeup because they're insecure. Sometimes they just like wearing it, if it does make them feel better, isn't that a good thing? About the amount though, it's not really something to judge someone on. It's our faces, if we want to put makeup on, we should be able to do it however we like without someone looking at us and trying to dictate how or what we should do it like.
