Have You Received A Compliment Lately?

This morning, my daughter and I went to the Assisted Living Home, as we usually do on Sunday mornings, to read and discuss some Bible verses. And one lady there told me several times how pretty she thought I was. I think she liked my outfit mostly. At my age, for someone to tell me I’m pretty, does not happen that often, so I thought it was unusual that she said it more than once. I often get compliments on my silvery hair. Many people think that my hair is pretty. How about you? Have you received a compliment lately? Doesn’t it make you feel good?

It's always nice when the hubby compliments his wife. And vice versa. I think that married couples SHOULD compliment each other all through the years. Good for your husband.

Yes, compliments are very esteem building. If a person takes the time and effort to be well-groomed and kind, other persons notice and sometimes offer a compliment. I like to compliment others myself, especially young persons who are well-groomed. Some young persons need to improve on that point, I think.

@IreneVincent yeah, by complimenting, it should also teach those who are not well-groomed to develop

Yes, a compliment can be very encouraging if its sincere. I think it makes a person feel better.

Aw I never feel that way. But, I can understand why a person would use compliments to get something they want. That's certainly been known to happen.
