My Bing Rewards Issue Reaches A Finale

I wrote a while back about my frustration with the situation I was having with Bing Rewards when trying to redeem my points on Microsoft's site. Each time I go to redeem I get a notification that they are having trouble verifying the phone number I put in. I was using a landline and they suggested I use a cell phone number. So when my daughter got hers I even tried that. No such luck. The email below is the 8th one just for this particular transaction. And below it is my response. I really liked the Bing search engine but this has gone on long enough. Hi Eve, How are you? This is Red from the Microsoft Rewards Team updating you on Service Request _. We understand that you're upset about your prior experiences with the program. Rest assured that your feedback are noted and that we'll use them to improve our services to ensure customer satisfaction. We know that the phone verification may cause inconvenience but please understand that this is implemented as a security measure to ensure that only eligible participants can redeem their points. Once your phone number is verified, you should not be prompted for your every transaction. Should you encounter an error, you can always email us and we'll gladly help you. We hope you'd continue your participation in the program. Again, we would like to apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you and have a nice day. Regards, Red The Microsoft Rewards Team ******** I have gone around and around with you people on this issue. It is not a matter of once my phone number is verified. It is a matter of this happening EVERY time I go to redeem. I used to use Bing a lot and redeemed about every three or four months. It gets pretty old when I go to do a redemption and get the same notification each time. This happens each and every time. Not just once in awhile or occasionally. Every time. It ends up taking me atleast a week to redeem a measly $5 gift card. When on any other site it has been my experience that I am able to do one within a few days at the outside and usually that same day. I think that for someone that uses the site as much as I do you could find a better security system. I would think my phone number could be verified if the format allowed me to even put one in. It was been suggested to me a couple of times to use a cell phone if at all possible. So, I get a cell phone. Neither my landline number nor the cell phone number will work and I get the same notification each time I try either one. So, I can only tell you that I have done everything I can at my end. I am sorry to have to quit using Bing and taking advantage of the rewards available but I can't see where spending all of this time trying to explain to people the same issue over and over and over and over and over again is getting anyone anywhere. Thank you just the same but I will be using a site that works from now on. Sincerely, Eve York

Sure is. No way to speak to anyone except by email which is slow as snail mail so you are at their mercy.

Guess this will happen to many of us @celticeagle if it happened to you. We know one person not able to use their Crowdtap rewards b/c it can't verify something.

I wonder why. It is so frustrating when other sites work so quickly.

Hope you get that sorted out. I can't use Bing as it is only for the U.S.A.
