Home Jail

Can you imagine being financially dependent on a family member? That`s when you feel like you are in home jail. Especially if that person never misses a chance to rub your nose with the fact that you have no choice but to put up with their arrogance. We are supposed to love our family. We are supposed to be grateful. Still, never let this happen as they are supposed to respect you too!

Fingers crossed! Two or three years, never mind. But the rest of your life should be just yours.

I hope this does not happen to you friend. It can be very degrading if someone throws it in your face.

I am saving for a private small business as there is not enough work in public companies even for much younger people than I am.

How sad to feel like that... This is why I like to work, at least I don't have to ask for money from anyone...

@Alternative4 Yes, I know some people don't have a choice at all.. I like going to work not only because of money but it is also a chance for me to meet other people. Goodluck to you and hope you will get yourself a job soon..

I like to work too and not just because of money. However, there`s a lack of work available. Hopefully that will change.

A person in this situation should try to get out from such a home jail.

I totally understand what you mean to say. Being dependent and living by yourself is much better. You can definitely visit your family members from time to time

The gap between family and society is narrowing. It is better to depend on society than family

My ultimate wish is not to depend on anyone. Thanks for your interesting observation, dear.

that is quite sad, especially when you are at a certain age when you have to be independent i guess it is normal to help out your family when they are in a slump but when help is given begrudgingly, it's better to give no help at all

Well, what is done is done...

The saying we can choose our friends but not our family comes to mind. Family members should help in times of need but not if it promotes over dependency and laziness. There comes a time when we have to leave the family nest to become independent.

I know what you mean that's why it is better to become independent or have self-reliance as much as you can.
