DO WHAT YOU LOVE

JOB for average people - (as per my understanding) Work that you do for 5-6 days a week in order to fulfill your (Bachelor Bills) and your familial responsibilities (Parents, spouse, society bills ). JOB for creative people- Work you do 24-7 in order to inspire yourself and create and discover something new and as we call nowadays "Out of Box" for others. Not to mention that burden of fulfilling the responsibilities are almost the same. So where do put yourself- one with a creative job, with a mind-numbing job, monotonous job, interactive job ??? But almost all of these serve the same purpose. We often hear from a lot of people and I put it in quotes "Do what you love" also " If you don't love what you are doing, chances of success is very limiting" and of course, the one which inspires me the most " Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life". The list is endless and I am pretty sure all of you can add much more(Whichever quote, success story, mind awakening thought works for you to find your "Lovable" job). But the sad part is this holds for the very few lucky people who knows what their dream job is!! They know where their passion lies or where they can be good at. Those lucky people have an option to opt out of their current not so passionate job and do what they want to do. (Shout out for all of those people- Guys hang in there!! You have a dream JOB to dream about and that is special. Push your limits and combat the limitations. ) Now let's head towards the sadder part, most of us (including me) are clueless what/which job would be our dream job. The irony of the quote " do what you love " holds for the people whose "love" doesn't have any creative, materialistic, passionate significance. (or we haven't found) And yet the "love your job" is being propagated all over. Those people are scratching their heads, seeking for help, doing quizzes online which can tell them what they might be good at !! Those lost souls who want to be inspired, who want to love their job, who want to bring passion in their jobs are the ones which are stuck in the search of finding "meaning of their life" and ignoring their current jobs ( which ultimately might be their only calling). A very new and refreshing ideology has come up I will state with few examples: If you love traveling then you can become a travel blogger, tour organiser, Hotel critic ( something of that sought has come up) If you are a foodie, try cooking classes, food blogging, restaurant in making etc etc If you love fashion then try yourself as a lifestyle columnist, have a salon, a clothing line, fashion critic. Photography, writing, Music and Dance and the options are innumerable. But what will happen to people who have no interest in any such field which is too cool in today's world?? What option do they have other than belittling their own existence? In the current scenario, the normal 9-5 ( 9- till the boss is happy) jobs are looked as mediocre, and widely assumed boring (which most of them are) but what if a passion is cultivated within those working hours?? What If the corporate jobs are your thing and just because everybody else is selling the idea about something "out of the box" is distracting from your work ?? There is something to think about. For all you guys who are desperately trying to find their "passion" out of work into some creative direction just rewind and replay, you might as well realise that your work is not that bad after all !! It's your own attitude that needs revision.
