PORK !!

Yesterday i had the most interesting discussion , with some friends Iam christian ,and my friends are muslim ..we were talking about politics when all of a sudden we were talking about pork !!! yes pork !! They don`t eat pork because of their religian ,but when i asked them why, i only got different answers So i did some googeling and this is the only thing i found from the Quran " He has made unlawful for you that which dies of itself the blood and the flesh of the swine and that on which the name of any other than God has been invoked. But he who is driven by necessity, being neither disobedient nor exceeding the limit, then surely, God is Most Forgiving, Merciful.[7] I dont have a clue what this means !

I think pigs are considered unclean as they eat everything. Cows, on the other hand, eat only grass and grain. It's also possible that pork couldn't be well preserved in the early days in the hot climate of the Arab peninsula. So forbidding to eat pork was a hygienic and health measure.
