Did you know that there are houseplants that can lift your mood, reduce allergies, reduce the change of headaches, improve sleep and even decrease your blood pressure? Spider Plant- Clears carbon monoxide and benzene from the home. Snake Plant- Clears out formaldehyde which is used in nail polish. Aloe Vera- Clears benzene and formaldehyde. Benzene is also a natural part of crude oil, gasoline, and cigarette smoke. Chrysanthemums- Clears benzene. Lady Palm- General air purifier. Chinese Evergreen- Clears out toxins and air pollutants. English Ivy- Clears out airborne fecal-matter particles. Heart leaf philodendron- Clears formaldehyde and many other air pollutants. Boston Fern- Clears out formaldehyde. Peace Lily- Clears formaldehyde, benzene, trichloroethylene, toluene and xylene. Picture from Flickr.com

Aloe Vera is a healant. It comes in juice and can help people with inner issues. It's very good for burns too.

Yes I got one plant I thought would help with the poisons from the neighbors downstairs but it got gnats for some reason. I now water it with dish soap and vinegar every other water to get rid of them. It hasn't helped with the smells from downstairs though, but its okay it is nice to look at.

My mother always had a house full of plants and so have I. Not sure how much of this works unless you have a lot of the same kind.

we love gardening, my mom grows brinjal, ladyfinger, spinach and some other plants on small terrace garden which she maintains very nicely, its her favorite pass time. we have some indoor plants too, well i dont know the name of those plants , they resemble small coconut plants but not coconut plants, they cool the room very well, as its very hot here
