We all have an inner child somewhere in our heads. Some may be buried further down in our subconscious that others but it is in the somewhere. Are you in touch with your inner child? You know, that fun, imaginative, creative little girl or boy hidden inside you. The one you were when you were just a kid. Many people equate your inner child with creativity. The wonder and excitement which a child looks at life all around them is often what builds the imagination. "If you want to be creative, stay in part a child, with the creativity and invention that characterizes children before they are deformed by adult society." ~Jean Piaget I for one thinks it is important to let that inner child inside you come out and play every now and then. That is when I am most creative and imaginative. Looking at the world through the eyes of a child is a wondrous adventure into fiction. It is the stuff that stories are made of. What do you think of this? Do you let your inner child come out and play?

I like your discussion. I know that when I am around young children I start thinking of the things I did as a child and soon we are doing some of those things.

@HazySue I try to do that as often as I can. It sure makes me feel young again. I have had people tell me to act my age. My response is, "I will when I decide how old I want to be."

Children are so full of hope and trust. It is fun to let out our inner child every now and then.

I think when I turn on the more "wild" music and dance, that is my inner child. Of course I never do it when anyone else is around lol

That is true. But, there must be a time when you can relax and let your child come out and play. You will be glad you dide.

Ever since I started my own business and buying all those cool toys I feel like a kid again and can hardly wait to try them out and have so much fun doing it.

My inner child comes out quite frequently. My body may be 46, but my mind stopped maturing at 17. I often prefer watching cartoons as opposed to TV programs geared toward people "my age" -- most of which I find crude and repulsive.

You do keep your inner child with you. I love it when mine pops out. My grandchildren are always watching for it. I do agree, most of todays programs are unacceptable.

That's a good thing. I think that keeping your inner child in your heart you can still see the beauty of our world.
