Are you really that happy?

A friend who is going through couseling and was talking with me. She needs to sort things out in life and be happy with herself.
She made a comment how I always seem grateful and just not unhappy. I sort of laughed a little but I saidyou know you have to be happy with yourself first, and care for you first.
I know so many people that areso unhappy because they want more. I do have goals and I want more but Iam happy with what I have. Like a friend took on a guys 2 kids and had a kid with him saying she'd be happy. Well she isn't happy and her boyfriend comes into my work the vibe he gives off. I thought key example of that.
I told this friend be happy with what you have now and the goals you have. So paying off debt or going out more.

Happiness comes from within. A person is in charge of their own happiness. If they aren't happy with themselves then they want be happy with anybody or anything else.

We should focus on trying to make ourselves happy. Sure, I would like things to be a little different. Sure, there are things I would like to achieve. But I am still happy with what I have. I have a wonderful family. I have a home. I have work. That's something.

I generally am not that happy right now, but i know things could be worse so i try to smile and enjoy the good parts of my life.
