Should I practice my whistling?

Our office building is quite large but for reasons long forgotten in the mists of time, we only have one ladies toilet on the middle floor - which is the floor with the most female employees. I should say we also have only one mens room too.
For some time now the lock on the door has been a bit 'tricky'. As far as I know, nobody got themselves locked in and had to limbo out of the cubicle, but it always seemed likely that it might get stuck. Today there's a sign on the door to say that the broken lock has been reported.
And so we must all learn to whistle, cough or pee noisily so that nobody will burst in on us whilst we're dealing with the business because the lock has been removed completely.

That is an uncomfortable situation to be in. One may not even be able to perform well there (lol)

I think removing the lock was not a great idea, the authorities could have fixed the issue by installing a new lock.

@boiboing I got locked in a bog in a guest house in Greece once. I could hear a queue forming outside so I legged it through the window which was very small then wandered round the house and in through the front door where I saw the queue waiting for me to finish my business. I then joined the queue myself and waited for myself to come out and giggled a lot. Then the owner came and forced the door open and - there was no-one inside after all!!! Big mystery.
