MRI Today

My better half had his MRI today and I walked while he was about it. I didn't go to the trail by the hospital instead I walked around the hospital grounds. I walked for about forty minutes and felt like I'd had a good walk. I went inside the hospital where it was cool to read my book while I waited for him. I had time to read a few chapters before he came out. He was wet with sweat. I think the technician forgot to turn on the fan in the machine. I've never gotten hot while having an MRI. Have any of you? Anyway maybe we will find out why he's having pain in his back and legs. And hopefully there is help for him.He was ready for a nap when we got home and so was I. I couldn't sleep but I stretched out in the swing and rested . The sky was a beautiful blue and trees have fully leafed out. I watched a couple of squirrels playing in the trees so it was nice. Hope everyone of you had a great day.

I hope you find out what's wrong soon. I have never been too hot in an MRI, that's strange. It sounds like your relaxing time was very peaceful. =) My day wasn't the greatest but I'm sure tomorrow will be better.

Nice surroundings help to alleviate any possible tension you might have been feeling. Hoping that he is okay and everything comes out right for you.

I've never had an MRI myself so I don't know whether it's normal to sweat. I spent the morning at the hospital too - we had to see my husband's cardiologist, and he had to have an ECG and blood tests. I was glad to get out of there.

Firstly, I hope the MRI results were O.K. Regarding your query, I did not feel hot at all "hot"when my MRI was taken. It was on the contrary..I had to cover myself up. Secondly, I want to commend you for your positive stance. You went round the hospital & took a walk, read a book. And most importantly, after returning home, you made it a point to admire God's bounty despite the stressful day. KUDOS!

I have never been too hot during an MRI. That's why I thought someone forgot to turn on a fan. And yes Iwas glad to get my walk while I was waiting. A few chapters in my book was neat too.

Did he have a closed or open MRI? I had to leave my closed one. Too confining. Glad it is over for him you had a nice day.

I'm not sure. I believe mine were open but I'm not sure. I didn't know there were closed ones.

We both never had an MRI, but usually people say they feel cold. I hope they can find where is the problem.

You put your time in good use. Some others would just wait for their better half, fidgeting, impatient.

I've never had an MRI. My husband had one last year and had to be put out due to claustrophobia. I hope your guy has nothing serious.

I've heard that some people can't tolerate a closed in place without sedation. Thankfully we don't have that problem.

@DianneN An MRI doesn't bother me at all. In fact I could doze off to sleep if it wasn't for the loud noise.

I've been lucky enough to have never had an MRI. It would have been nice sitting on the swing.

I'm so glad they got the MRI done, but no, I've never been hot during an MRI. Poor thing. It's never fun to have any kind of testing and be uncomfortable! Our trees are also looking so beautiful right now. I do love this time of year when everything is so green.

I hate ct scans. I feel like I'm on fire after they give me the injection. It's a bad feeling. I asked my better half if he was sure he didn't have a ct scan and he said it was an MR I.
