Welcome to this weekend’s Suddendeath poetry challenge, Puddle

Centralia, Missouri
April 29, 2017 4:53pm CST
Anyways, rules are as follows, write a poem in any style using the five words that I give you. Write it in one sitting or in under an hour (only to quash your inner editor, rules are loose there). Add it here, OR link in a comment so we can enjoy each other’s' poems. The words can be in any plurality or tense. Today’s words are: puddle, wet, rain, flood, wash As always my version is below: My yard is a puddle, my yard is a lake. I really wish it would stop, it’s not fake. There is rain there are floods things are washing about. I really wish the gods would turn off the spout. I have had enough of puddle of rain wet and things muddy, Step outside if you don’t believe me buddy!

Puddling into the rain of need, my desire to be in that other a down jacket and here its going on May wet beneath my fingertips, entering that woods scape a visitor, flooding my taste, I work the dry soil, washed out, my soul itching to toss aside reality's shroud.

Well done! It's a long time that I do not joins, but today I am going to try: My love for puddles was so great, I splashed inside when I was a kid. The night has brought more rain, the flood is slowly rising swallowing the plain. Has Spring been washed away? The grass is wet under my bare feet, It's time to go inside and have a sweet.

Nice! I haven't taken one of these in years so here goes. Puppy left a puddle awash from the rain Oh what a flood, oh what a pain My feet are wet and aint it a shame The puddle is water but it's not the same. Rain water is sweet indeed it is but this isn't water, no not this This smell is foul I've tracked through the house It's pee pee I've track, oh that little louse.

yeah, people do this both ways. Some post here, some do their own and link. I myself don't care either way, I know some want it on their own pages so they earn from it themselves, and can find it again!
