Favorite songs, and why

Everyone has a favorite song or two. Maybe even three or four. I have a bunch myself, as I love music... First my all time favorite, Picture by Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow. This may not be a mother and daughter song, but this was my song with my daughter. Because whenever she would cry I would sing this song to her and she would stop crying and smile. And i would sometimes sing it to her to get her to sleep at night. Then you have Survivor by Reba McIntire. As not only did my mom get me into Rebas show, where this song was the theme. But she got me into her songs as well, and this one always stood out and is my favorite. Also because it reminds me of my single mom. Another two favorites are definitely Concrete Angel by Martina McBride, and Christmas shoes (don't remember who it's by). These songs I just love because although they're so sad and make me cry every time I hear them, they're sooo good. (In my opinion). There's also Don't know much by Aaron Neville, and Still the one by Shania Twain which are both mine and my fiance's songs. And then there's The Shake by Neal Mccoy, and Little Red Rodeo by Collin Raye, as both songs are great country songs. And songs I love thanks to my grandmother getting me into them as a little girl, and the memories I have of us always singing them when they came on the car radio. Plus as I stated above, so many more. Lol. Do you like any of these songs? If so, is there a reason behind it? If not, what song do you like and why?

One of my favorite songs for a good chunk of my life is "Summer Breeze" by Seals and Crofts. I named my first cat Jasmine because of that song. I also love "I'm still standing" by Elton John because it's a song of surviving, and I've done that a time or two in my life. Most of all, I love "Open Arms" by Journey. That was a special song for me and my late husband.

My favorite songs vary from day to day. There are the classics, like Begin the beguine or Smoke gets in your eyes. IThere are the songs I learned and lover when they just started to be played. And now they are classics, like Blowing in the wind. I love many songs in Spanish as I´m chilean.

I love every one of those songs that you like Courtney. I especially loved the way you comfort your daughter with that first song. I guess one of mine is Never Ending Story. I watched that movie with my son when he was little..nostalgic you know.

My favorite song is "Dark As a Dungeon" by Merle Travis. It speaks so eloquently yet sadly of life as a coal miner.

I cant wait for the day I have a baby to sing to ^_^. Two of my all time favorites are I'm Yours by Jason Mraz and clocks by coldplay. They just make me feel happy. My mom got me onto Reba also! We would watch the tv series as often as we could haha. Sorry about the partial comment I'm sure i typed it out.
