Cashier Problems

Banks, Oregon

So today I went back to WalMart so I could put my money on my WalMart visa card my cashier had never did this before, but instead of getting annoyed or frustrated I just simply said that's OK here let the person behind me get there stuff rung up and I will wait for help from another cashier, she apologized and I said that is perfectly OK, I am fine waiting....

I tend to be pretty patient with cashier issues. But sometimes I get frustrated enough that I have to write about it. There was this time at Taco Bell...

It's good that you let them ring up the people behind you, I know how frustrated I get when I'm stuck waiting while a cashier figures things out. It's easier when I don't have places to be or when I don't have my son with me but some days it's a lot. It's also good that you were polite about it. I'm sure you'll have good karma coming your way for it.

@chrissbergstrom Probably, or it would be nice if Walmart had more cashiers in general. I don't know about there but they have a ton of lanes but only like 2 or 3 will be open.

Yeah the lady behind me was older and had alot of stuff but i didn't want her to wait to long, or have to put her stuff back in cart to go to another cashier. I do think the Cashier's probably could use more training though.

I've seen so many people get so annoyed and it's not the cashiers fault take a deep breath and relax....

When new people have problems it is great to be patient. I guess most people are not, because the new cashier always seems to apologize over and over again. I always tell them to imagine me impatiently jumping up and down, cause I will not actually do it. That comment frequently helps them smile and relax. If people are impatient and rude the cashier will never learn their job.

Yes i wish that i was allowed to help her because even though i've never worked there i know there is a code they need to look up and type in most know the code without looking it up

That was a smart move and probably worked in your favour since that cashier wasn't aware of the procedure to apply a payment to your card. Good thinking!
