A friend with a similar sense of humor/online friend

In life, it is rare to meet anyone who you have a lot in common with, let alone with the same sense of humor. When you find these people don't let them go. I sit here and I laugh with my friend because we are cracking each other up as our boyfriends sit and stare at us wondering why it is we find each other so hilarious. My friend lives on the other side of the country which kind of says something. It only took me finding someone who lives clear on the other side of the country to finally fully understand my sense of humor. I don't have a lot of friends but the ones I do have are pretty amazing. I always joke that this friend is like the California version of me. We have so much in common and I mean in the creepy "how is this possible?" kind of way not just in the typical "oh we like the same shows" kind of way. I mean we have complicated family lives and we have pretty close to the same sense of humor and even our boyfriends are very similar. It's funny to think about. I mean of course we have several differences too but it's amazing the kind of friendships you can find over the years. Friends like that are a rare find. When you find someone who gets your sense of humor keep them around if it's possible because believe me nothing beats the laughter you'll share together. I can't count how many times I've laughed until I cried with this friend. Just because a friend lives far away and you haven't met them in person doesn't make them any less of a friend. That's something I've learned over the years. Maybe one day I will actually meet them, I guess we'll see.

thats good.my friends are my greatest treasures. heres a quote about friends "It's not necessary for good friends to meet regularly. Look at the lines of a railway track.. They seldom meet.. They seldom cross.. But they always go a long way together."........ copied from the internet

When you manage to find a really good friend or two, it doesn't matter that you don't have dozens of friends.

Oh, I didn't let this person go. No, she did that herself. We had and have some great times and memories. But, she choice to accuse me of something I didn't do. Can't have that in a good friendship so she is gone now.

Sometimes that happens, and it's sad but sometimes it's for the better.

It really is. People often overlook online friends. I have met some of the best people online.

@chrissbergstrom You're right, sometimes it is. My online friend actually knows more about me than my friends offline. It helps that we both have a lot of the same issues so we don't judge each other.
