Some Things That Drive Me Crazy...

Each of us have our “Pet Peeves,” things that we just can’t stand. Or things that drive us crazy. I hate when flying insects, fly into my face when I go outside. When I was a child, I played outside all the time and I don’t remember being bothered by flying insects. I can’t enjoy being outside and enjoying nature, because of insects, and bees and I really do hate that. I wait until evening to water my plants on the porch and to work in my flower beds. That’s just one of my “pet peeves.” Another one is telemarketing calls. I know that in the last year, I have put at least 50 phone numbers on my automatic “reject” list. But, the calls keep coming. I’m on the “do not call” list also. I get calls about warranties, and taxes and free trips and so many other irritating calls. It drives me crazy. I hate all the drug commercials and insurance commercials and car dealerships and furniture “going out of business” sales. These are the “pet peeves” I can think of right now. I’m sure there are other things too. What drives you crazy?

I'm happy to say that I experience none of the things you've mentioned here. What annoys me: People who chew chewing gum when talking to me. If possible, I make it the last conversation.

I can agree with that.. Chewing gum is not a good thing to have going on when trying to carry on a conversation.

@IreneVincent I forbade my pupils to chew chewing gum in class. I had special punishments for them. They had to clean the undersideS of the desks where they and their classmates used to stick the gums. I said that if I enjoyed moving jaws, I'd be a farmer and work with cows. Then what happened? Parents came to teacher/parents meeting chewing gum! Pity that I couldn't scold them, too.

Unwanted phone calls are the biggest nuisance. I screen all my calls these days. Seems to be paying off as lately they have reduced in number

I hate those phone calls too. I was putting the numbers on my "automatic reject list" and yesterday my phone informed me that that list was FULL and now I suppose I will not be able to add any new numbers. I suspect, if those callers can't get you with one number, they simply use another number. It should be illegal. If I don't recognize a number and all out of state calls, I just don't answer. But, it's still irritating, if I hear the phone ring, I rush to answer it, thinking it might be one of my family members, but then I see that its from a number out of state.

I really hate politicians who can only talk about how bad the other parties are. They have no ideas of their own and just want to run down everyone else.

Politicians are the worst. This last presidential election here in the USA was the worst. And the debates are ongoing. I'm so tired of the newscasts about the election.

Yes, I hate mosquitoes. Did you know that mosquitoes are the NUMBER ONE killer of humans in the world. More people die from diseases carried by mosquitoes than any other single cause:?

The scene in that picture is beautiful. I dislike snobbery in any form - and I hate the sound of a mosquito buzzing around and I can't find it to swat it.

It's a nice picture that I use from time to time, to point out the beauty of nature. I hate mosquitoes also.
