In your opinion what is the best method of birth control? Abstinence is the best, but I am married so that isn't possible. I would say the depo shot is second.

You neglected to say whether or not you already have children or if you plan in the future to have children. Short of abstinence voluntary sterilization is the next option if there are no plans to have children in the future. Sterilization is safe and more effective than an chemical birth control, the only draw back is that for the most part it is permanent. Reversals of sterilization are expensive and not guaranteed to be effective.

Why is it so difficult to practise abstinence even if you are married? Why do you feel it is impossible to have this granted in the relationship for the time being if in the long run you will be better prepared for a 'planned pregnancy' rather than unplanned . . . sharing the light and happy holidays, Miss Erica Hidvegi, the Enlightenment_Advisor, B.A. Psych/M.A. Transpersonal Studies- Cnslng/Author, Artist, Photographer, Entrepreneur & Freelance extraordinaire
