ORDINARY PEOPLE.

When we take a good look at all the trouble and strife in the world today, it is obvious that all this mayhem is caused by just a few. The majority of people would rather live peacefully - and simply get on with their lives. In the midst of another crisis three years ago I thought of writing this poem titled "Ordinary People"
These are ordinary people, not seeking extraordinary lives;
Husbands in a hurry to get home to their wives.
A mother in her kitchen packing groceries away;
Soon it will be time to leave for a meeting of the PTA.
The neighbor's dog is once again barking up a storm;
Every time he sees the postman, he raises an alarm.
An argument next door - you can hear every word that is said;
Hard to believe that couple are newly wed.
Miss Simms is in her garden , again wearing the shortest shorts;
She pretends to be picking at weeds, but her aim is to jolt a few hearts.
In the park across town, joggers call it quits for the day;
To a brightly lit church hall, midweek worshipers make their way.
Ordinary people, living ordinary lives;
No thought in their heads of contributing to world strife.
These are ordinary people content with ordinary lives.

Nice poem Kandase.
It is true what you say, it is the few that cause the great damage.
Most are not about that.

Very true words, yes this is the life of ordinary people and this is how they would love to be. Very peaceful and calm.
